I was unfamiliar with all the terms and intricacies of the horse racing world and a little timid to expose my ignorance. How fortunate, then, that I discovered the world of horse racing forums! After just a couple of days of reading through forums, I began to recognize familiar terms and felt a bit more confident about my ability to navigate in the world of horse racing. My love of horses, my fascination with Barbaro during his spectacular 2006 Kentucky Derby win and then following him through the incredibly heartbreaking story of his injury and eventual death spurred me on to learn more about this amazing sport. I found forums that offered information on every aspect of horse racing and eventually found myself attracted to those that focused mainly on the champions of the sport - Secretariat, Barbaro, Seabiscuit, Man O' War. And the beauty of it all? I can sit in my very own home, read all I want, learn a ton and I never have to divulge that I am a novice's novice! I'm working my way up to adding a message in a forum and have thought of several good questions I'd like answered, but in the meantime, I'm happy to just visit and read at great educational forum sites like www.horseracegame.com/community and http://horseracing.about.com/mpboards.htm. I've learned a lot and still learning more.

One of the greatest things about the Internet is the accessibility it provides. The Internet is a way that we can all stay connected, and in doing so, we can all benefit from the wealth of information that is out there. Horse racing forums are a huge asset to all race fans, regardless of whether a person is a beginner or an experienced handicapper. There are numerous forum sites that are truly beneficial to the horse racing fan. The forums contain tons of useful information, from betting advice to staking plans and free tips. One great forum site is www.horseracegame.com, which features not only an extensive forum packed with great advice and tips, but is also connected to a simulated horse racing game that is a must-play for any horse racing fan. Another popular site is the Win2Win Horse Racing Forum (www.win2win.co.uk), a British site that features extensive advice on systems, staking plans, and general tips for fans. There are many more sites that also offer superb horse racing forums, including most major sports web sites.

Anybody wanna mentor my niece? She has been turned down by the first couple of random names she picked. She has 3 horses all in tourneys already and knows how to jockey and bet. She has all the basics down and is willing to learn.

Do you need a Mentor

I have been in this game now for 5 months, have over 60 horses and won quite a few tournaments. I have learnt so much along the way from good friends on this site, you all know who you are, not you Sundown lol. I am in the UK, so if anyone in this time zone or Europe too, heh anyone at all lol needs a Mentor I would love to help and pass on my knowledge gained from the experts here onto you.

race closed

Why is my points being wasted on races being canceled? I enter to race NOT to be losing points for every race I enter. I think we should get refunds on these "closed, race not run" ...BS!
