As far as jockeying is concerned, he was nothing short of a celebrity. He was given the pet name champion jockey of the 1953-54 racing season by the British National Hunt after winning more than 350 races. He was also retained as jockey to the queen mother for four seasons and raced eight times in the Grand National Steeplechase.

Jerry Bailey is one of this country's best big-race riders. He is a retired American Hall of Fame jockey. He has won four Breeders' Cup Classics during a five-year period from 1991-'95. He also has four Triple Crown race wins to his credit. In 1997, he was awarded his third consecutive Eclipse Award as North America's outstanding reinsman. He was the only jockey who has been honored with such a title. He added a fourth Eclipse Award for the 1999 season.

Patrick Alan "Pat" Day was born on October 13, 1953 in Brush, Colorado. He is an American jockey. He is a four-time winner of the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Jockey. One of the most important wins that Pat day has had is when he won the Breeder’s Cup Classic in 1984 with Wild Again. He topped that up by winning the past two renewals of the race; this time with Awesome again and Cat Thief. He is the only jockey to have ridden at least one mount in each of the first 20 Breeders' Cups, and ranks second all-time in Breeders' Cup winners, with 12.

His list of wins also includes the Kentucky Oaks which he won twice. The first time he won it, his mount was Lite Light and the second time around, he was riding Pike Plate Dancer. Easy Goer was inducted into the Racing Hall of Fame in 1997.
